Uri Gresham Uri Iman Gresham is a level 4 creative writing student at Nocca. She enjoys singing and credits it to making her poetry carry such lyricism. She is fluent in French and partially in Mandarin, Patois, and Spanish. Her work has been published in Umbra Lit magazine. She has performed in the Black Culture Club for four years, a club and performance held here at Nocca. She has won the Nancy Throp competition. And was accepted into the writing intensive. Kenyon reviewed and Envision, a young leader program in Washington, and was a returning member to the NAACP act, so competition, and won second place. She has participated in multiple side projects that involve other forms of media to help propel her career. Her work centers on motifs of light, Black beauty, and life as a young woman. She enjoys sitting in the sun, dancing in her room, and going on long car rides for inspiration.
